Sunday Mass Participation
- Unfortunately, our finals game has been scheduled by the MHSAA on a Sunday. In agreement with the Diocese, we have granted an exception to our policy regarding Sunday activities in order to play this game. However, as important as the football game may be to our community, Mass remains the priority. Our players will be worshiping together on Sunday morning, and we expect to see a strong WC presence at weekend Masses.
- WC fans are encouraged to attend Mass at their regular parish or another local parish.
- If you are in Detroit ahead of the game, please consider attending one of the many parishes in the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Coach of the Year:
- West Catholic teacher and coach Landon Grove has been nominated for the 2025 Detroit Lions HS Football Coach of the Year! Voting runs now through Nov. 30.
- The winning school/athletic department receives a $3,000 grant from the Detroit Lions and the NFL Foundation, and the winning coach becomes the Lions Youth Football Don Shula NFL HS Football Coach of the Year nominee!

Alumni Open Practice:
- On Thanksgiving morning, the football team will be gathering at Aquinas College’s Alksnis Athletics & Recreation Building from 9-11:30 a.m.
- The football program would like to welcome all football alumni to come and watch the team prepare for their state championship game on Sunday.
