Math Teacher
West Catholic High School is looking for a full-time Michigan secondary certified Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is not discipline specific, and may include teaching any of the following: pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra II, pre-calculus, statistics, or personal finance.
The following are characteristics of an ideal candidate:
- Holds an undergraduate major or a Master’s degree in Mathematics
- Current Michigan Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics
- Exhibits a passion for mathematics in an applied and real-world setting

Daycare Assistant
The Daycare Assistant will assist the Daycare Lead in caring for and assessing the needs of children in the West Catholic Daycare Center throughout the day.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing a clean and healthy environment for children and staff
- Setting up activities and cleaning up after activities have been completed
- Participate in the planning of daily schedules, activities, and special events with the Daycare Lead
- Changing clothes, diapers, and cleaning up after accidents
- Preparing children for snack, meals, and transition times
- Assisting the Daycare Lead as needed with duties such as: discarding, sorting, and replacing toys and equipment, making suggestions that are helpful and supportive to the Daycare Lead, decorating bulletin boards, routine filing, cleaning tasks, etc.
- Contributing to the program by telling or reading stories, planning group experiences, craft, or projects
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures
- Being attentive to health, sanitation, nutrition, and safety
- Dressing and conducting oneself in a professional manner
- Sit with and supervise children at mealtimes
- Friendly and courteous to parents during any interactions
- Open to continual professional development, both in and out of school
- Work as a disciple of the Catholic faith and uphold values in word and action
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School diploma, or equivalent.
- One year of experience working in a childcare setting preferred

- Patience with children
- Child, infant and adult CPR training, First Aid, Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting, Universal Precautions training, and Essential Training is required within 6 months of hire

Advancement Director
West Catholic High School is seeking an Advancement Director who will be responsible for advancing the mission of West Catholic through the solicitation of major gifts, fundraising strategy, alumni relations and the development of funds to support operations. The Director of Advancement will work collaboratively with other areas of operational vitality at West Catholic as we further the school’s mission.

- Establishes standard operating procedures, work performance standards, work schedules and basic job descriptions for development staff
- Develops procedures for the processing of gifts to the school

- Collaborates with the school leadership team for the cross-departmental work of events, communications and relationship management
- Maintains databases of all donor information, alumni information, and data trends of philanthropic giving to the school
- Stays informed on emerging practices in nonprofit institutional advancement strategy
- Manages and enhances the school’s alumni relations, fostering connections and
engagement with former students through events, newsletters, social media, and alumni networks - Attends major events in the greater Grand Rapids area for the development of alumni relations and donor relations
- Works in conjunction with the development committee of the governing board
- Meets regularly with the President/CEO and attends all appropriate meetings with the Diocese of Grand Rapids
- Maintains and implements the advancement plan that includes communication timelines, development strategy and avenues for maintaining donor relationships
- Upholds the mission of West Catholic to form Disciples of Christ through a dynamic, excellence-driven Catholic education, with value placed on the dignity of work and the dignity of the human person
- Performs other duties as assigned by the president
Job Qualifications:
- Dedication to the mission of Catholic education
- Three years of relationship management experience
- One year of supervisory experience
- Maintain, or willingness to become and maintain, certifications and training necessary for Catholic school institutional advancement
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Willingness to work off-site when necessary and travel 2-3 weeks per year

JV Boys Basketball Head Coach
Wesr Catholic High School is looking for a Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This individual will serve as a positive role model for students, coaching staff and the community while upholding the values of the Catholic faith
- Provides leadership that develops and promotes a unified athletic philosophy
- Cultivates relationships with current and prospective students
- Demonstrates proper sportsmanlike conduct and respect for players, officials, opponents, fans and other coaches
- Understands and maintains the standards of the West Catholic Athletic Handbook
- Maintains good public relations with parents, officials, players and fans
- Manages athletic activities, contests and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect and good sportsmanship
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, staff and school administration
- Works with other members of school staff to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational development of student-athletes
- Establishes performance criteria for competition and evaluates students’ athletic abilities on a regular basis

Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is preferred
- College or high school coaching experience is preferred
- Must have a desire to work in a Catholic school and a concern for the well-being of student-athletes
- Comprehensive knowledge of the game is paramount; extensive knowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of MHSAA, OK Conference and West Catholic Athletic Handbook policies, with demonstrated commitment to adhering to policies/standards

JV Girls Basketball Coach
West Catholic High School is seeking a Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct practices for the JV girls basketball team
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, strategy and teamwork
- Foster a positive, encouraging and respectful team culture
- Collaborate with the varsity coaching staff to ensure program continuity
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games and school-related events
- Ensure compliance with school, Diocesan and MHSAA policies
- Communicate effectively with players, parents and school administrators
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching or playing experience at the high school, club or collegiate level preferred
- Knowledge of basketball rules, strategies and player development

- Must pass a background check and meet all coaching requirements (CPR/First Aid, concussion training, etc.)
Schedule: This is a seasonal position that typically runs from October through March with practices held on weekdays and games scheduled during evenings and weekends.

Bus Driver - School Transportation
West Catholic High School is looking to hire a School Transportation Bus Driver for 20+ hours/week during the school year (mostly morning/afternoon school hours, but some hours may be available for events during evenings and weekends).
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport high school and elementary students to and from school or school-related activities following a set route and schedule
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation
- Conduct van pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized van interior
- Promote the mission-centered work of the schools in daily interaction with students, coworkers, parents/guardians and members of the community
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid State of Michigan CDL
Requirements:
- Ability to provide positive communication to students and parents
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Complete the required training for school bus drivers
- Pass a background check, drug screening and DOT physical; submit to random drug and alcohol tests and in-vehicle monitoring to ensure safe driving
Paid training and starts at $21/hr. Part-time employee health benefits are available.
