Visiting Options
There is no better way to learn about West than to come visit the school in person. If you would like to schedule a customized visit or have any questions, please contact our Admissions Director Julie Herdegen at julieherdegen@grwestcatholic.org or (616) 233-5920. Daytime and evening tours are available by appointment.

SCHEDULE A VISIT
Please schedule a time that is convenient for you. We offer visits and tours throughout the year, including summer!
SIGN UP FOR A SHADOW DAY
On a West Catholic Shadow Day, 8th-graders and transfer students are paired with a West Catholic student to experience a day in their life. By sitting in on a few classes, eating in the lunchroom and meeting WC students, your child will see what they will experience during their time at West.
To schedule a shadow day or individual visit, please use the West Catholic Inquiry Page to choose the date(s) that work best for you.

EXPERIENCE WEST NIGHT
Tuesday, October 28, 2025, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
On Experience West Night, families have the opportunity to take a campus tour with one of our current students, hear from the experience of current parents, see what is happening at West Catholic, and learn about the next steps of the enrollment process. Faculty and staff members are on hand to answer questions and light refreshments were provided.

5TH-GRADE TAKEOVER
Friday, November 14, 2025
West Catholic’s 5th-Grade Takeover is a fun and immersive educational experience that takes place each fall. Visiting 5th-grade students eat lunch, meet teachers and staff, and take part in an interactive tour to experience a day in the life of a West Catholic student. This visit is meant to motivate and inspire students by showing 5th graders what awaits them after their K-8 graduation!
*West Catholic High School will transport 5th-grade students from Diocesan Catholic middle schools, so parents will still drop their child off and pick their child up as they normally would from their school.
**Any 5th-grade student is invited to attend. If your student does not attend a Diocesan Catholic school and you would like to sign them up, please email julieherdegen@grwestcatholic.org. Our admissions director will ensure that your student can participate.
