House Bakhita

St. Josephine Bakhita, FDCC

House Bakhita was named after St. Josephine Bakhita, FDCC. She was kidnapped as a child and sold into slavery. Enduring unimaginable suffering, St. Josephine Bakhita eventually found freedom in Italy, where she embraced Christianity. Joining the Canossian Sisters, St. Josephine Bakhita dedicated her life to serving God and others, embodying forgiveness and resilience despite her past. Canonized as a saint in 2000, she is revered for her unwavering faith and is a patron saint of Sudan and victims of human trafficking.
